We arrived in the Formidine Rift today. Beyond the bridge glass, the stars lie scattered across a darkness that makes the distance from home feel newly tangible. The Moonshield has reached the region that will occupy our charts, our crews and our curiosity for the next three months.
With arrival confirmed, our exploration mission begins. Commanders will depart to survey nearby systems, map unfamiliar worlds and follow whatever promising readings draw them farther into the Rift. The carrier will serve as our shared point of return, a familiar light at the end of each stretch of solitary travel.
There is no telling which quiet system will reward a closer look, or what we may find beyond the next jump. We have given ourselves three months to search, to record and to leave this region a little better known than we found it.
To every commander taking part: best of luck with your discoveries. May your routes carry you safely to something worth finding, and may you return with stories to share aboard the Moonshield.
The mission will last about three months. The schedule of our departure back to the Bubble will be announced timely in this log.
